Are the mobility devices and accessories insured?

Mobility devices and accessories are not covered by insurance. However, we do offer a non-refundable optional damage protection to cover most damages to the equipment for an additional affordable fee.  Please contact us or read our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Disassembling the equipment.

In order to preserve the good condition of our equipment, electric scooters, wheelchairs and accessories may not be disassembled.  For more information, please contact us or read our Terms and Conditions. 

How long does the battery of an electric scooter may last?

On a full charge, an electric scooter can travel an average distance of 8-10 miles . (The recommended full charging time is 8-12 consecutive hours). But don’t worry, the charger for your mobility scooter rental is included, so you can connect and charge wherever you go!

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservation may be cancelled at no extra charge at any time up to 24 hours before the rental is due to start.  We try to be as flexible as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate you. (We often can!).  But for more information, please contact us or read our Terms and Conditions. 

What are the hours to collect and return the equipment?
With the exception of holidays, when our team may work reduced hours to enjoy a well-earned break, Platinum Scooters is open Monday through Sunday from 8AM until 8PM.
But if for any reason these hours may not work for you, please contact us! We strive to be as accommodating as possible!  
 
 
Does Platinum Scooters provide delivery services?

Currently, Platinum Scooters Inc., does not offer delivery services, but please get in touch with us! Even though we do not deliver, we will gladly share third-party alternatives that could help with your mobility scooters and wheelchairs needs.

Type of vehicle that should be used to transport the equipment?
For our electric mobility scooters, Renters will need a wide trunk shape vehicle such as vans, SUV, or pickup trucks. 
If the vehicle is already equipped with the trailer/towing hitch, Renters may add-on to their rental a ramp for easier transporting of the equipment.  For more information about the ramp contact us or visit our Accessories section.
 
As far as our wheelchairs, they are foldable and may be storage in the trunk compartment of most vehicles.    
 
When will my credit card be fully charged?

At the time of booking, the credit card is pre-authorized for the total amount of the rental, and fully charged at the time the equipment is collected from our store.
